The Flora of Valoria

The Living Green of the Hidden Valley

In the secluded embrace of the Great Fold, life has taken a path unseen by the outside world. The flora of Valoria is not just botanical; it is magical, adapted to a land of perpetual mist and ancient stone.

The valley floor is a thick carpet of emerald, home to giant ferns that uncurl like dragon's tongues. But the true wonders lie deeper in the forests. As twilight fades, the forest floor begins to pulse with a soft, unearthly light. This is the "Luminous Moss," a bioluminescent bryophyte that clings to damp rocks and tree roots. It guides the monks on their night-walks, a natural constellation mirroring the stars they cannot see through the eternal cloud cover.

Rising from this glowing foundation are the colossal "Iron-wood Trees." Their bark is as dark and hard as wrought iron, and their gnarled, twisting branches seem to writhe like frozen serpents. These trees are sacred. Only when a branch falls naturally do the monks harvest it, crafting from its incredibly dense wood their walking staves and the handles of their tools—objects that are said to be unbreakable and last for generations.
