The Great Fold
The Embrace of the Twin Spines
Valoria is not merely a place; it is a secret kept by the earth itself. The valley lies within "The Great Fold," a titanic geological cradle formed eons ago when the world was young and violent.
To the north stands the North Spine, a jagged wall of black rock and eternal ice that scrapes the heavens. Known to the monks as "The Shield of Giants," it breaks the fury of the polar winds, its frozen peaks standing as silent, unmoving sentinels against the outside world. No path has ever been found across its razor-edged summits.
To the south rises the South Spine, older and softer in its form. Its slopes are clad in impenetrable, ancient forests and shrouded in perpetual low-hanging clouds. It is the "Verdant Cradle," from whose mossy cliffs a thousand waterfalls feed the winding river that gives life to the valley floor below.
Between these two colossal barriers, the valley flourishes in an endless spring, a forgotten pocket of existence protected from time and travelers alike.
